About this model

A Curious Chapter in Diecast History: Novacar Under Majorette’s Wing

While this model—and much of Novacar’s 1990s production—may not have left a lasting mark on diecast history, it still tells an interesting story. This particular piece dates back to the period when Novacar was acquired by Majorette. In fact, many Novacar models like this one were also released under the “Majorette 100 Series” label.

One unmistakable link to Majorette’s own production of that era lies in the wheel design: the shape and styling are clearly produced by Majorette, making them easily recognizable. Unfortunately, the build quality falls short—even when compared to standard Majorette models from the ’90s.

The metal used in this casting is so lightweight that it’s often hard to tell it apart from the plastic base. On top of that, design flaws in the assembly process lead to poorly fitting plastic components, which awkwardly protrude from their intended positions.

Despite some effort to stay true to the proportions of the real vehicle, this model serves more as a collectible curiosity than a highlight of diecast craftsmanship.
